In four seasons as head coach, McCambridge has amassed a 153-117-19-15 regular season record plus a 19-17 mark in the playoffs. Prior to joining the IceCaps, McCambridge served as assistant coach with the Manitoba Moose and helped lead the team to the North Division Final in 2011 in which they lost to the Hamilton Bulldogs in seven games.
Before coaching with the Moose in 2009, McCambridge guided the Alaska Aces of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) to the third round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs in 2007- 08, and led the Aces to the finals in 2008-09 before being eliminated by the South Carolina Stingrays. McCambridge won the Kelly Cup in 2006 as a playing coach with the Aces, defeating the Gwinnett Gladiators in five games.
McCambridge’s professional playing career spanned 11 seasons and included stints in the AHL (Saint John Flames, Providence Bruins, Houston Aeros and Cleveland Barons), IHL (Las Vegas Thunder, Long Beach Ice Dogs and Manitoba Moose) and ECHL (Alaska Aces). In addition, McCambridge spent four seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Swift Current Broncos and Kamloops Blazers.
